I was skeptical of all the 5-star reviews that were published on the same date, but I have to admit this grooming brush is pretty good. I was afraid my hounds would run away from me when I used it (they are adverse to water & strange sounds), so I introduced it to them by using it "dry," without the mist function, so they would get used to it. The brush captures the hair nicely and the little button really does work to release all the hair. The dogs don't mind me brushing them with it provided I use it as a dry grooming brush, but, as I suspected, they do not like the "mist" function AT. ALL. I don't know if the mist is cold (I've been using room-temperature water), or if they just don't like the misty feeling. Overall the brush works just fine, but for me, the mist is a gimmick.

My cats have false memories and believe they've been sucked into vacuums and attacked by steam mops. I expected this brush to gurgle or hiss, and assumed at least one feline would report me to Cat Command for Crimes Against Felinity.The brush is rechargeable and comes with a USB charging cable and dropper bottle. It reminded me of a cross between ineffective old-school combs and those modern ones that threaten to leave your cat with a reverse mohawk. I usually groom outdoors because brushing unleashes a fur blizzard. After charging (which took about 15 minutes), I filled the tank using the included bottle and got started.The “steam” is more like a cool mist. It’s quiet, gentle, and starts within a few seconds. The hair release button worked great. One cat actually enjoyed it, and it helped loosen dander. The other was indifferent, which is feline for "not bad." The brush was a resounding success!From a human servant’s perspective, this brush is amazing. No flying fur. No need to shower afterward. The mist seemed to help collect the hair on the comb, keeping it contained. After finishing both cats, I realized I could actually groom them indoor without creating a fuzzy tornado.I picked this up on a lark, and I’m incredibly pleased. It outperforms every other cat grooming tool I’ve used. Cat-people: you need this.

This brush is the best for my Sheltie! He never likes being groomed, so the most efficient brush is the one we both like best. It was pre-charged, so I didn't have to wait to try it. Very thoughtful! The bit of water vapor keeps down the fluff from the loose hairs together. It brushes well, fits nicely in my hand, and I love that the dog is protected from the wires of the brush bristles by the tiny protective tips.I tried wiping the fur off with the button extending the pusher in the video, but found (see the photo) that letting the pusher fall back made it so the fur was sitting on top of the bristles and could simply be plucked off en masse. Very pleased to find this quality brush with such nice features!

I can't say enough good things about this Pet Steam Brush. My two 17- year old cats are past the point of being able to groom themselves properly, and they disliked every other brush we've ever tried. The fact that they stay still for this one is a miracle in itself!The difference is the "steam." It's not warm, just a fine, gentle mist that they don't seem to mind. There are no leaks, and as I brush, it collects all the loose hair and dander, preventing a messy cloud from flying everywhere. After just one session, their coats are noticeably softer and shinier—they look and feel so much cleaner.I also appreciate the one-touch release button for getting the hair off the bristles. Because the collected hair is slightly damp, it needs a little help with a finger, and some of the finer strands on top need to be pulled off manually, but these are minor issues for the results it delivers.On top of everything, the brush comes in a nicely packaged box, making it a totally giftable item for any pet lover. This has been a true game-changer for my kitties and for me. If you're struggling with an older pet or a fussy feline, this is the solution you've been looking for.

We just rescued a Great Pyrenees puppy that is already 45 lbs. at just over four months so he will have lots of hair to brush in the future. This brush works great for keeping at least a few "fur tumbleweeds" out of the house. I can't really tell much difference with or without the cold mist turned on. The really nice feature of this brush is the pad that pushes the hair out from between the bristles making this very easy to clean. The handle is quite comfortable as well.
