I’ve used quite a few deshedding tools on my German shepherd & Golden retriever mix, and this brush/rake genuinely impressed me. From the first use, it removed a significant amount of loose undercoat without pulling or irritating the skin. This deshedding brush is honestly a game changer for our long‑haired cat. With just a few passes, it pulled off an unbelievable amount of loose fur — the kind that usually ends up on my clothes, my furniture, or floating through the air like tumbleweeds. I was shocked at how quickly it made a difference.The metal comb does create a bit of static, but smoothing my hand over his coat right after each stroke completely solves it. This brush is amazing!!! I brush my husky shepherd mix daily and I get a good amount but nothing compared to what I got from her today with this brush I’ve done five different sessions today and each time I have an entire pile and for the price it’s totally worth it!

I almost never write a review, but this dematting brush was a life saver! We took on a cat that was rescued from a house fire & had severe mats all over that we thought we were going to have to take her to a groomer to get shaved. The owners said the cat was too mean & no groomer wanted to take her. Now the cat was stressed & traumatized from literally being inside the house during a three alarm fire, and she was soaking wet, cold & smelled horribly of smoke. The thought of stressing her out even more by having to take her to a groomer was stressing me out. So as a Hail Mary, we bought this dematting brush. I took it very slow, and used small quick strokes to start cutting through the mats and slowly but surely the mats started coming out. At first she seemed a little nervous, but as she started getting relief from the tight mats, she started purring and rubbing up against me. When I tell you some of these mats were so thick, they were coming out in large chunks. The trick is to go slow, don’t try to get the under the entire mat with one stroke, I used small fast strokes to start cutting the mat from all angles, and sometimes going against the direction of the fur. Be patient & be prepared to give the cat some breaks in between. The pictures I attached show when we were about 3/4 of the way done, and decided to give her a break until the next day. It’s not a miracle brush, you do have to put some work in, but I can say this cat was spared from the dreaded trip to the groomer to be shaved.

My boy is not a easy kid to groom, this brush went thru the thick under coat like butter and after the first two brushes he was happy an so am I , less fur in his stomach! Great product for long hair, thick coat fur babies.
